The 2023 GP Spring Courses will be offered onsite and online. All students will be assigned an advisor who will provide support for them through the duration of the course. Students’ advisors will be their primary contact and the liaison between the administration of the Bible School and the student. All assignments, questions, etc. are to be submitted to the students’ advisor, who will in turn grade and return assignments and answer questions.
All online students will be given access to the GP Portal where they will watch videos, receive and submit homework assignments, and track their grades. The video stream of each week’s class will be available on the website for a seven-day period (Saturday – Friday). Each week the videos will post 9:00am EST. After midnight on Friday, the video stream will no longer be available. The video streams should only be viewed by students currently enrolled in The Gospel and the Preacher online course.
Various assignments will be issued by the instructors of the Bible School course. Assignments are to be completed and submitted electronically to the student by midnight on Friday of the weekend following the video postdate.
A passing homework grade, a passing final exam grade, and completion of all public preaching assignments are requirements for receiving Certificate of Completion.
Onsite Student Attendance
Attendance will be taken throughout the Bible School course using a weekly sign-in sheet. Students are expected to stay for the entire 3-hour class (sessions 1 and 2) each week. If onsite students miss a Saturday, they can go online to get information, view the videos, and complete the assignment. When students need to miss, they must send an email to staff@gpbibleschool.org indicating that they are going to make-up the class online. Students can make-up a missed class a maximum of two times before it counts as an absence.
A student will become disqualified from receiving a Certificate of Completion if he/she has more than two absences. In such cases, the student can continue to attend classes but will not be issued a Certificate of Completion and tuition will not be refunded. No excuses will be taken into consideration.
Onsite Student Tardiness
Classes will commence at 9:00 AM on Saturday mornings. Any student arriving after 9:00 AM will be considered tardy, and any student arriving more than 30 minutes late or leaving more than 30 minutes early will be considered absent. Students must also be on time for the second session of class, after the break between sessions. Students not in their seats at the start of the second session will be considered tardy. A student will become disqualified from receiving a Certificate of Completion if he/she is tardy more than three times. In such cases, a student may continue to attend classes but will not be issued a Certificate of Completion and tuition will not be refunded.
Online Student Attendance
Attendance will be tracked by logins into the portal. It is not necessary that you login on Saturday morning, but instead you can login to the GP Portal sometime during the week that works with your schedule.
We want to make sure everyone is successful and is able to get all that the Lord has for them from these courses. Please let your advisor know if you experience any technical difficulties. You can also send an email to staff@gpbibleschool.org.
First Day of Class
Classes begin on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 9:00AM EST. Students will have one week to complete their assignments and turn them in.
Every student will complete a 5 minute preaching assignment via Zoom during week 10/11. You may invite your family and friends to attend. This time of preaching is always very powerful. Even if you are nervous about public speaking, you will have such a deep understanding of the gospel message by the time you have to preach that you will be amazed at how it will flow from you. You have a team of instructors, advisors, and administrators who are here to support you through this journey. Don’t worry, we will walk you through this every step of the way.
The final exam will be given online in week 12. You will need to take the exam in one sitting. You will need a proctor for the exam. This information will be provided to you at open house and again the week before exams.
GP Graduation
Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Your family and friends can attend to help you celebrate your accomplishment.
All students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner reflecting and representing the Character of Christ at all times. This includes, but is not limited to legal, ethical and moral conduct that is explicitly defined in scripture. Violations of the Student Code of Honor include tobacco use, illegal drug use, drinking alcoholic beverages, sexual misconduct (including adultery, fornication, and homosexual behavior), viewing of any pornographic materials, verbal or physical abuse, disrespect for authority, and academic dishonesty of any sort, including but not limited to lying, cheating and plagiarism. Any violation of the Student Code of Honor is cause for immediate dismissal. Tuition will not be refunded.
A Certificate of Completion will only be given to those who successfully complete the requirements of the course. It signifies that you have pressed into the things of God, submitted to the purposeful requirements given by leadership, and allowed the Holy Spirit to shape and mold you during this season of transformation and consecration. If you are unable to meet the requirements for a Certificate of Completion, you may continue to attend classes, but you will not be issued a Certificate of Completion and tuition will not be refunded.
These guidelines are for the purpose of establishing Godly values and disciplines in your life and the means of attaining a spirit of excellence. Our goal is to remove all excuses and mindsets that leave room for excuses in our lives. What we make excuses for will result in us no longer placing value in the things of the kingdom of God. What we become familiar with and lose value in will ultimately leave our lives. However, what we sacrifice for will be highly valued, and what we highly value in the Kingdom of God will increase our capacity to receive more from God! Remember the parable of the Pearl of Great Price:
Matthew 13:45,46 (NIV) “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When hefound one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”
This is an excellent opportunity to “sell-out” for the best that God desires for you! Let's place great value in all that is within His kingdom and get it into your possession!
